Becky has been creating art since 2001. Several of her paintings have toured Ohio through Key Bank’s Accessible Expressions Ohio (AEO) since she began entering work in 2001. She has received several ribbons from the local fair in the Fine Arts Division and has work exhibited locally through the arts counsel. Becky’s work was exhibited by Images Seen, which was held at the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus, Ohio. This exhibit featured art by artists with disabilities from all over Ohio.

Becky has been highlighted in several newspaper articles and other publications for her work as an artist, her community employment, public speaking and advocacy activities. Becky has appeared on her local public access channel in a video concerning Art on Main and enjoys public speaking, which she had done on various occasions for the local radio station, human services conferences and VSA Ohio.
Becky was featured in a video about Art on Main which was run on a local newspaper’s website in April 2007.

She has taken many art classes to increase her skills as an artist and enjoys working in acrylic, marker and also enjoys making crafts. She calls herself an “abstract artist” and says she wants each person who looks at her work “…to get something different out of it.” She stays very involved with advocacy for people with disabilities by attending local chapter meetings of People First of Ohio.
Becky has an employee of a local Goodwill for many years. Her interests include crafts, the Internet, computer graphics, poetry, science fiction, astronomy and theatre.
