Carleen Callicoat/Art on Main

Carleen painted the famous “Black Cat” which in, 1998, traveled to Los Angeles for the International Art on Soul Festival held at the Bonaventure Hotel which featured all types of artists with disabilities from around the world with all kinds of physical artwork, dance, music, theater and literary works. Through intense fundraising spearheaded by Carleen’s Father, the people of Carleen's home town, as well as others, donated enough money for her to fly to Los Angeles for a week with a provider to participate in the International Festival. Carleen has said that she has never done anything like that and would like to do it again!
