Rick Collins/Art on Main

Rick became involved with Art on Main in 2003. He is a very imaginative man who truly loves science fiction. This is a great influence on his artwork. Along with being an extraordinary woodworker, he loves the outdoors and the sci-fi channel.

Rick has an extensive portfolio containing artwork representing spaceship blueprints and aliens, each containing a story that explains the piece. Rick is able to use household pieces, like spatulas and bananas, to create his works. His creativity influences everything in his life from friends to yard work.
Rick’s piece, “My Life” took 3rd place in the local fairgrounds Fine Art exhibit in 2006. His work has appeared in several exhibits through the local arts council. He had work exhibited through 2006 “Images Seen”, the statewide exhibit of artists with disabilities which was held at the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, Rick was the recipient of the 2007 Art on Main Art Scholarship for the Lawnview Awards Banquet.
